Our rehabilitation program includes health, mental, and training rehabilitation. Many of our horses have experienced trauma, and as a result, their mental states are not ideal to immediately begin training. Physically, a horse must be in good overall health, or cleared from the veterinary with "as healthy as possible" -- meaning some physical limitation that can be identified, managed, and the horse can lead a normal life within clearly defined constraints. Our young horses, whenever appropriate, will be introduced to all forms of training. They will move into adoptable status once they are able to lead, load, groom, have farrier work performed, and have basic groundwork and under-saddle work started. Please follow these horses' progression on their individual pages.
NOTE: We recognize some equine professionals prefer to start their own horses. Professional trainers may contact us to discuss horses listed below and possible options.
