Welcome
Genie
Genie was pulled from a kill lot in Colorado. How a mare as striking as she is, can find herself there, we have no idea! She was not posted as a bred mare, but once again, when she went to quarantine in Nebraska, we discovered she is very much in foal. Genie is in quarantine and not on the farm at this time.
There is nothing physically wrong with Genie that we are aware of. She is pregnant, and due to foal in spring--our best assessment. She appears to be halter broke, but until she foals, we cannot make further evaluations.
Once Genie safely delivers her foal and the baby is later weaned, Genie will undergo training evaluation. If she is safe and sane, she will move to the adoption-ready list. If she needs work, we will formulate a training plan.
Her baby will be available for adoption after weaning and once it can lead and have feet picked up.
Genie is quite a sweet mare, according to our fabulous quarantine manager. We hear she is also even more stunning in person--how is that possible? She is a gorgeous girl, who apparantly happened to find herself in the wrong place through no fault of her own. We are very anxious to meet her, and this baby she is cooking.
As sweet as Genie is, we would be willing to discuss a foster situation for her through her foaling, nursing, and weaning stages. Please reach out if you are experienced and qualified!
